Biography

Medical doctor, born and trained in Geneva, practicing as physician since 2000, first specialized in paediatrics and in various paediatrics subspecialities (2000-2013) including emergencies, hepatology (immuno- and infectious aspected), humanitarian medicine and nutrition. Since 2013 practices in the tropical&travel medicine clinic, Division of tropical and humanitarian medicine (Geneva Uni Hospital) as attending supervising clinician (50%); other parttime (50%) at MSF Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors without Borders - as medical advisor on Neglected Tropical Diseases (focus on snakebite-epidemiology-clinical management and antivenoms, leishmaniasis and similar causes of prolonged fevers (brucellosis, typhoid, rickettsiosis, dengue...) , and other NTDs such as rabies, schistosomiasis, filariasis, skin NTD (scabies, C.leish, noma ...) and other emerging/neglected diseases in children and adults. Have worked in 15 countries in tropical areas (recent focus Nepal, Cameroon, Sudan & South-Sudan) and respond to telemedicine on NTDs.
