Biography

Professor David Andrade is a mathematician from Univerdad Nacional de Colombia (Bogotá). He has a master's degree in mathematics from the same institution and a Ph.D. in applied mathematics from IMPA in Brazil. He has had postdoctoral positions at IMPA (Brazil), the Technion -- Israel Institute of Technology (Israel), and the University of Plymouth (UK).

His research centres around applied mathematics, with a particular emphasis on fluid dynamics, partial differential equations, and scientific computing. He has authored several research papers about ocean waves and nonlinear dynamics. Currently he is a principal professor of mathematics at Universidad del Rosario where he joined in January of 2023.
