Biography

Hilde has a Doctoral degree in Humanistic Informatics (2003). Her work is mainly within the interdisciplinary field of STS (Science, technology and society). She has extensive experience as a researcher, lecturer and from knowledge communication from University of Bergen (1998-2016) and Western Norway Research Institute (Vestlandsforsking) since 2013. Her main interests in research are in ICT and gender, diversity, and inclusion in areas such as education, working life, leisure and family. Her latest research includes a variety of topics such as recruitment to IT education, women's tech careers, e-health innovation, and the public sector's use of artificial intelligence.

Hilde is leader of the research group Gender, Diversity and Technology and Head of Research for Technology and Society at Western Norway Research Institute / Vestlandsforsking.
