Biography

Dorian Rose is Physical Therapist and a Collaboration Scientist with the Brooks/University of Florida Research Collaboration, a Research Professor in the Dept. of Physical Therapy at the University of Florida and a Research Health Scientist at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville. Dr. Rose’s research focuses on recovery of balance, gait and upper extremity motor control post-stroke. Her current research also explores cardiovascular and respiratory health post-stroke and strategies to increase real-world community ambulation in the presence of motor impairment. She has received funding from the American Heart Association, the Florida Department of Health and Veteran's Affairs Rehabilitation Research and Development.
