Biography

Simon Mahler received his MSc degree in the physics of complex systems from the University Paris-Saclay, France, in 2017 and his PhD in nonlinear optics from Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel, in 2021. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Biophotonics Lab, California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, United States, and the recipient of the 2024 SPIE–Franz Hillenkamp Postdoctoral Fellowship. His research interests include speckle imaging, biomedical optics, nonlinear optics, and coupled lasers.
