Biography

Bienvenida Gilbert Lopez holds a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Jaén and works as Associate Professor in the same university. Her research career is focused on the development of green analytical techniques for compounds of interest in Environmental and Food Sciences. Her postdoctoral experience includes research stays in two internationally recognized centers, namely Leibniz-Institut für Analytische Wissenschaften -ISAS- e.V. (Dortmund, Germany) and Laboratory of Foodomics of the Spanish National Research Council, CSIC (Madrid, Spain). She has received several awards, competitive funding and has coauthored more than 70 scientific publications. She has participated in a dozen of competitive research projects and acts as reviewer of scientific journals indexed in the Journal Citation Report (JCR). She is a member of the Spanish Society of Analytical Chemistry (SEQA), the Spanish Society of Mass Spectrometry (SEEM) and the Spanish Society of Chromatography and Related Techniques (SECyTA).
