Biography
I am a research active Senior Lecturer at the University of Central Lancashire in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. I am currently completing my PhD (working title: The lived experience of gender diversity for autistic adults) and is a member of UCLan’s Social Prescribing Unit. Amy has experience of producing published research papers, most recently for the National Association of Social Prescribing by completing a scoping review of the literature surrounding major health conditions and social prescribing activities, followed by presenting at the Annual Social Prescribing conference. Amy has skills and experience in literature searching and appraisal along with thematic analysis. In addition Amy has supervised research students and interns across various projects including social intervention evaluations. A current example is the supervision of two research interns evaluating the team around the school project in conjunction with Sefton Council.
