Biography

Trish Hafford-Letchfield is a qualified nurse, social worker, educator and manager. She has had a long career in social work, with a portfolio of leadership of older people's services in both supported housing and social work and social care. She has led several initiatives on workforce development particularly in relation to interprofessional working. Trish research interests are in the experiences of ageing in marginalised communities, sexuality and sexual and gender identities in social work, suicide and its expression in later life, problematic substance use, leadership and management and organisational development in social work and social care. Trish is primarily a qualitative researcher often using participatory research methods and arts-based pedagogies in learning and teaching.
