Biography
Efi Avdela is Professor Emerita of Contemporary History at the Department of History & Archaeology of the University of Crete. Her research interests include gender history, the history of feminism, the history of crime and delinquency, the history of youth and sexuality, as well as the history of voluntary associations and collective action. She has recently coordinated the research project “For a history of sexuality in the Greek twentieth century: practices, discourses and identities”.
