Biography

Dragan Vukmirovic is full professor of Belgrade University in the field of statistics, data science, Big data, and e-business, with more than a hundred of published scientific and research papers. Also, he participated in designing and implementing a lot of scientific-research projects, workshops and summer schools connected to these fields.
Mr. Dragan Vukmirovic, was Director General of Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia or more than 10 years and president of Serbian Statistical council for eight years.
Mr. Vukmirovic was a Project Director and Team leader of different projects dedicated to alignment of the national statistical system with the European Statistical System (ESS) in Serbia, Albania and Turkey. He is author and co-author more than one hundred of published scientific and professional papers in the different field of research.
He has great experience in HH surveys and was involved in more than 1.000 HH surveys and have been actively cooperating with many statistical offices (Serbia, Albania, Turkey, Montenegro, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Saudi Arabia, UAE) in different statistical fields: preparation of national survey plan, development and evaluation of statistical methodology, data analysis, data science, dissemination, training, etc.
Mr. Dragan Vukmirovic successfully managed the Population and agriculture censuses in Serbia and calibration of agriculture census in Albania. In professional career, he has actively participated in the creation of data-based public policies in various areas, such as: sustainable development, social inclusion, gender, children's rights, economy, etc.
Mr. Dragan Vukmirovic is a member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI) and was a member of the International Association of Official Statistics (IAOS).
