Biography
Siyi Wang received his B.Eng. in Communication Engineering, B.A. in English Language and Literature from Shanghai University (China) in 2006 and M.Sc(Eng) (with distinction) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Leeds (UK) in 2007. From 2010 to 2012, he was a research member of Virtual Centre of Excellence (VCE) based in the University of Sheffield (UK) and focused on the project of stochastic geometry modelling of heterogeneous networks and system-layer and energy performance of Wi-Fi and 4G LTE cellular networks. He is currently studying a Ph.D (from March 2013) in the Institute for Telecommunications Research at the University of South Australia. The research for his Ph.D investigates communicating data in harsh environments via the diffusion of nano-particles and is funded by University President's Scholarships. His research interests include: molecular communications, indoor-outdoor network interaction, small cell deployment, device-to-device (D2D) communications, machi
