Biography

Plants are diverse organisms with enhanced capacities to tolerate various sub-optimal and harsh environmental conditions. Such metabolic dynamism requires a vibrant elasticity in the physiological status of the plants. My research focuses on elucidating the varietal differences at the transcriptomic, metabolomic and ionomic levels during plant exposure to multiple abiotic stresses. We are also adopting the use of nanotechnology, transgenic and priming technology in promoting sustainable agriculture under sub-optimal conditions.
