Biography

Dr. Alexandre Dolgui is an IISE Fellow, Distinguished Professor and the Head of the Department Automation, Production and Computer Sciences at the IMT Atlantique, France. Previously he was the Director of Division on Industrial Engineering and Computer Science at the Mines Saint-Etienne (France) and before a Full Professor at the University of Technology of Troyes (France). His research focuses on manufacturing line design, production planning and supply chain optimization under uncertainty. His main results are based on the exact mathematical programming methods and control theory algorithms and their intelligent coupling with heuristics and metaheuristics. He is the co-author of 5 books, the co-editor of 30 books or conference proceedings, the author of over 340 refereed journal papers, 32 editorials and 32 book chapters as well as over 500 papers in conference proceedings. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Production Research, an Area Editor of Computers & Industrial Engineering, and a former Associate Editor of the Omega and IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, Member of EB of 25 international journals including IJPE and TRE. Member of the Board of IFPR, former chair of IFAC TC 5.2 (vice-chair now) on Manufacturing Modelling for Management and Control (now vice-chair), Active Fellow of AIM, Member of IFIP WG 5.7 on Advances in Production Management Systems, and IEEE System Council Analytics and Risk Technical Committee, Guest editor of special issues for European Journal of Operational Research, Annals of Operations Research, International Journal of Production Economics, Omega, Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing, etc. Member of Editorial Boards of 30 international journals; laureate of many French and international awards and honors.
