Biography

Nelson Nyabanyi N-yanbini is currently a doctoral student in Urban Studies at Lingnan University, Hong Kong and a lecturer in urban planning at SD Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies, Ghana. Nelson holds an MPhil in Planning and a Bachelor of Science in Human Settlement Planning both from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He previously worked as a Project Coordinator in Family Support Lifeline (NGO) and as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the Department of Planning, KNUST. Nelson’s areas of research interest are urban planning, urban sustainability, urban greening, climate change adaptation and land governance. He has published widely in leading urban and environmental journals. His current research focuses on land tenure-urban sprawl interactions and its impacts on the sustainability of urban green spaces.
