Ahmad Suhaimi Baharudin

Biography

I was an Associate Professor at the School of Computer Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). I joined USM in 2009, as a Senior Lecturer. Prior to joining USM, my 20 years of industrial work experience included as a Programmer Analyst, Analyst Programmer, Internal Auditor, Systems Analyst, Government Auditor, and MIS Manager at Colgate Palmolive (M) Sdn Bhd, Harrisons Malaysian Plantations Bhd (Golden Hope), Malaysian Industrial Development Finance (MIDF) Bhd, Employees Provident Fund (EPF), National Audit Department, and Penang Regional Development Authority (PERDA) respectively.

I was a Visiting Professor/Scholar at Cardiff School of Management, Cardiff Metropolitan University [formerly University of Wales Institute of Cardiff], Llandaff, Wales, U.K., from 1.7.2014 till 1.4.2015.

I have taught Financial Planning & Management, Business Organizations & Environments, Research Methods & Special Topic Study, Business Intelligent, Research Methodology for Informatics, and Technopreneurship & Professional Development courses to both postgraduate and undergraduate students.

Till to date, eleven (11) Ph. D students graduated [Main Supervisions: Candidates from Palestine (1), Thailand (1), Syria (1), Iraq (1), Nigeria (1), Iran (1), Indonesia (1) & Malaysia (2) and Co-Supervision: Candidate from Yemen (1), and Nigeria (1)]. One (1) master's by research student graduated [Main Supervision: Candidate from Malaysia (1)].

Twenty (20) Master of Technopreneurships students (mixed mode dissertations) graduated [Main Supervisions: Candidates from Iran (1), Saudi Arabia (2), Indonesia (1), Malaysia (14), Iraq (2), & China (1)], and 12 Master of Informatics (course work) final projects students graduated [Main Supervision: Candidates from Malaysia (6), China (3), Nigeria (2)].

Twenty two (22) undergraduate students had successfully completed their final year undergraduate projects with me, as their supervisor.

I have published about 130 papers in International Journals, conferences, and as book chapters. I have reviewed almost 70 papers for International journals and conferences.
