Biography
Dr. Tsung-Wu Lin is a renowned chemist and academician with extensive research experience in the field of energy storage and conversion. He obtained his M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from National Tsing-Hua University in Taiwan, followed by a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from Oxford University in the UK, where he worked under the guidance of Prof. Malcolm L. H. Green. After completing his Ph.D., he worked as a Postdoctoral fellow at Academia Sinica from 2008 to 2010.
In August 2010, Dr. Lin joined the Department of Chemistry at Tunghai University as an assistant professor and was later promoted to Professorship in August 2018. His research work mainly focuses on the synthesis of graphene-based composites and their applications for energy storage and conversion. He has also explored other 2D materials such as MoS2 in his lab. Dr. Lin's research group is devoted to developing novel electrode materials for supercapacitors and lithium-ion batteries. Furthermore, he is also interested in studying graphene composites as bifunctional electrocatalysts for OER and HER. In recent years, his research mainly involves the design of new types of aqueous electrolytes for energy storage devices.
Dr. Lin has published numerous research papers in renowned international journals, including Advanced Materials, Small, Applied Catalysis B: Environmental and Chemical Engineering Journal. Currently, his H-index is 34.
