Dr. Xu is interested in the development of water and wastewater treatment technology, water resource systems planning and management, and the application of remote sensing technology to watershed management. He is now continuing his research on watershed environmental management, and investigating individual environmental technologies, such as decentralized wastewater treatment technologies, biomass recycle technologies and environmental restoration technologies.
