Biography
Prabeer (b. 1981) hails from the eastern provice of Odisha, India. Following his undergraduate degree in Ceramic Engineering, he obtained a British Chevening Fellowship to pursue an M.Phil. degree education at the University of Cambridge in affiliation to the Wolfson College. Then, he moved to the east coast of USA to pursue a Ph.D. degree in Materials Science at Rutgers University. His PhD research was based on halidated activated carbon based supercapacitor under the supervision of Prof. G. G. Amatucci. After 4 year PhD degree stay, he started his postdoctoral training under the tutelage of Prof. J.M. Tarascon at the Universite de Picardie Jules Verne, France. Following, he worked under Prof. Atsuo Yamada as a JSPS Fellow and senior researcher at the University of Tokyo, Japan. After 10-year long stay abroad, he returned back to India to start his independent research career. His research is focused on electrochemical energy storage devices, mainly batteries and supercapacitors. Apart from research, Prabeer is interested in travelling, reading philosophical books and listening to instrumental music.
