Biography

Dr. Yassen Alfoteih is a public health professional & Eco- Biologist with western and North American education and experience. He received his Ph.D. in Eco-Biology from Hohenheim University - Germany in 2008 and his Post- Doc studies from the medical school at Newcastle University - The UK in 2016.

Throughout his career, his scientific interests have always been on the energy frontier. Moving between experiments in the laboratories and teaching at different institutions in Syria, Germany, The UAE, the UK, and Canada. His academic career included a managerial position as the chair of public health school at Canadian university Dubai where he was in charge of developing new programs in collaboration with different institutions in the USA and Canada. In addition to that, he has supervised the day-to-day operations, safety rules, and arranged for audits for all science laboratories.

In 2019 he worked as a visiting professor at Brock University - Canada for several months prior to joining CUCA as an associate professor in the program of dental surgery.

He developed across these years of experience in education and industry an international network, leadership skills, and a strong belief in teamwork. He earned his colleagues’ and his students’ trust and respect.
Dr. Yassen’s experience involves publishing scientific papers and conference proceedings, writing technical manuals, and leading training programs and conferences.
