Biography

Emmanuel Murwanashyaka is a PhD Candidate in Rural Sociology and Community Development, Department of Sociology and Social Work, University of Nairobi. He is also an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Rwanda, College of Arts and Social Science, School of Social, Political and Administrative Sciences, Department of Social Sciences from 2009. He is Department Secretary of Social Sciences from 2011 to 2016. He holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies (2013) and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology (2007) both from the University of Rwanda. Has vast lecturing experience in Sociology and Development Studies.

Social and economic exclusion and reinsertion /reintegration;
Community development and sustainable development;
Cooperative management and development;
Radical terraces and food production and security;
Adoption and diffusion of agricultural innovations;

Local Governance, service delivery and citizen participation.
