Biography
Dr. Manoj Jha is a professor of civil engineering who serves as the Chair of the Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering Department at North Carolina A&T State University. With over two decades of experience in the field, he has made a significant contribution to academia.
Dr. Jha earned his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University and has since been at the forefront of cutting-edge research in the topic of water resources engineering. His research interests span a wide range of topics, including multi-scale modeling of hydrology, sediment transport, water quality, impact assessment of land use change and climate change, and modeling evaluations of urban and agricultural best management practices for water quality improvements. Methods and tools developed by his research have made an impact on how we should manage our watersheds to help solve the current water quality problems. Significant scientific contributions are evident by the large number of publications in reputable journals, numerous appearances at professional meetings, and very high and respectable citation index. He has served as a PI/Co-PI on several research grants and contracts worth millions of dollars in funding. A high level of productivity in scientific contributions is reflected in many awards and honors over the years.
