Biography
Mr. Rippel studied computer sciences at the University of Bremen. He focused on the areas of artificial intelligence, cognitive systems as well as soft computing. During his diploma thesis at the Collaborative Research Center: Cognitive Systems (TR/8), he dealt with an analysis of measures of uncertainty for the Dempster-Shafer evidence theory.
Since January 2009, Mr. Rippel is a research scientist at the BIBA - Bremer Institut für Produktion und Logistik GmbH. During his work, he focussed on the modeling and simulation of logistics and production processes. His focus lies in combining different modeling and simulation paradigms, meta-modeling and model transformations, and integrating data analytics with process or simulation modeling.
