Biography
I received my Ph.D. with the highest distinction from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany, in 2013. My dissertation earned the university's Energy Special Prize in 2014. I lead a research group at the Institute of Energy Systems and Technology and obtained my habilitation in Energy Systems in 2018 (lecture: Energy Storage Technologies), followed by the title "Privatdozent" in 2019. Since 2024, I have been a full professor at LUT University.
My expertise spans power plants, particularly combustion, gasification, and CO2 capture technologies, with key strengths in modeling, simulation, and pilot-scale experiments (up to 1 MWth). I have contributed to major EU and national research projects, including BMU-Torrefaction, OptiMaDyn, REBECCA, and FP7 project SCARLET.
