Biography

JF Boujut is a professor of engineering design at Grenoble Institute of Technology in the Industrial Engineering school. He earned his Ph. D. in 1993 and his Habilitation in 2001. His research interest is in design communication and collaborative aspects of innovative design, including tools for managing informal information and knowledge sharing. He teaches creativity and innovation methods and collaborative engineering aspects. Recently, he focused his research on 1) design observation and cognitive aspects of collaboration in virtual environments and 2) open-source hardware product development and open design.

Areas of interest: Open design, Co-Design, Design collaboration, innovation, knowledge management, virtual and augmented reality.
