Biography

Dina Wahyu Trisnawati is an associate professor in plant protection at Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. She obtained a Bachelor's degree from Department Plant protection, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada in 2008. She got a Master of Agriculture from Yamagata University, Japan in 2012, and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Agriculture Science from Iwate University in 2015. Her research interests are in the pest ecology, especially biodiversity and interactions among soil, plants, and insects. She obtained academic scholarship offered by the Japanese Ministry of Education (Monbu-kagaku-shō or MEXT) for her master and doctor degree. She awarded as an outstanding women graduate student in research excellence of 3rd Iwate University President Award. She also got special fellowship for special researcher from Yamagata University. From 2016, she actively works as a lecturer, researcher, and community service. She obtained international and national competitive research grants, including Nagao Natural Environmental Foundation from Japan for Research Grant Program (2016-2017), Post doctoral Research from Indonesian Ministry of Education and Research (2017-2018), Basic Research for Higher Education Excellence (2018-2023), Applied Research for National Competitive Research (2024-2025). The results of the work have been published in journals, conferences and books. She active as Editor-in-Chief of Planta Tropika since 2018, and experience as a reviewer in several reputable journals. As a member in several organizations such as Indonesian Agrotechnology/Agroecotechnology Association, Indonesian Entomological Society.
