Biography

I am a psychologist based at the University of Dundee, in Scotland. My research interests concern group life, the self, sense of belonging, social identity, and their implications for physical and mental health. I regularly publish my research results in peer-reviewed scientific journals within the fields of social, health, clinical, and developmental psychology, as well as psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine. I have also published two edited books (one on the development of the social self, and one on the sense of self-continuity), and two textbooks (one on experimental psychology, and one on social psychology). I have served my discipline as an associate editor of the European Journal of Social Psychology, and as a consulting editor to various other academic journals.
