Biography

Dr Nuttan Tanna works as a Pharmacist Consultant and describes her job remit as one that is both exciting but challenging at the same time. Nuttan runs weekly outpatient medication management clinics at Northwick Park Hospital, Harrow, Middlesex. This involves working with patients to help them understand how to manage their medical condition. Her specialty areas include Mid-life Women's Health and Older People, with focus on menopause support, osteoporosis and fracture prevention. She is also involved in multi-disciplinary teaching and training, research, leadership and policy work, and has qualified as an independent pharmacist prescriber.

She is currently working with Professor Mitch Blair, lead for the River Island Paediatric Academic Unit on a life course Vitamin D research initiative. She has presented and published widely, both nationally and internationally. She represented the Royal Pharmaceutical Society on the NICE Osteoporosis Guidelines Development Group and is a clinical advisor for the Royal Osteoporosis Society. Previously she had been an active member of the National Osteoporosis Health Professional Partners Forum.
