Biography
Soumendra Nath Thakur is a seasoned applied electronics and telecommunication engineer with a distinguished career spanning several decades in the application, testing, and diagnosis of electronics and telecommunication components, instruments, and devices. His journey in electronics began in the late 1980s, marked by hands-on expertise with sophisticated electronic instruments. Currently, he is an independent researcher in theoretical physics, with keen interests in Physics, Electronics, IoT, and Solar technology.
Soumendra’s professional practice is characterized by his deep involvement at the component level, skilfully diagnosing and correcting issues, demonstrating his intricate knowledge of electronics and telecommunication systems. His early career involved work with analogue circuits, transistors, and discrete components, evolving through ICs, SMDs, and digital technologies, reflecting his adaptability and commitment to continuous learning.
He previously owned and operated Tagore's Electronic Lab in Kolkata, a workshop dedicated to experimentation, diagnosis, and development in electronics and telecommunications. He also maintains a personal experimental setup at home, underscoring his dedication to exploring new concepts in electronics and physics.
Soumendra’s educational background blends academic rigor with practical training in electronics and telecommunications. He holds a diploma in Applied Electronics and Telecommunication and has advanced training in microprocessor and digital electronics. He has completed courses in entrepreneurship development, financial and marketing management, object-oriented programming, and laboratory instruments, acquiring knowledge from institutions like Jadavpur University, Bengal Engineering College, SISI, and the Department of Science & Technology.
