Biography

I am currently working as an ORISE-established scientist with USDA-ARS in Ames. Previously, I was a Senior Scientist at Iowa State University, USA, from June 2021 to October 2024. I have collaborated with diverse research groups (academic, private, and CGIAR centers) and have over ten years of research and development experience in plant science. This includes work with CGIAR centers such as the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) and the International Potato Center (CIP). I am skilled in plant breeding, quantitative genetics, plant-microbe and plant-herbivore interactions, association mapping, secondary metabolites, sensors (VOCs and phytohormones), and citizen science.
