Eugenia Czernyszewicz

Biography

Eugenia Czernyszewicz is an associate professor of management in University of Life Sciences in Lublin. She began her career in 1985 at the Faculty of Horticulture. In 1995 she has begun to work at the Department of Horticultural Economics. A graduate of Postgraduate Studies conducted by the Catholic University of Lublin, Faculty of Social Sciences and the Lublin School of Business in the field of Enterprise Management in the European Union. She was granted a postdoctoral degree in Economic Sciences in the field of Commodity Science in 2009 at Cracow University of Economics at the Faculty of Commodity Science. In the years 2012-2016 she was the Vice-Dean of Faculty, the Head of doctoral studies at the faculty and member of the Senate committees. Since 2017 she has been the Head of The Department of Management and Marketing at the Faculty of Agrobioengineering.
Initially, her scientific interests encompassed issues regarding the horticultural economics. Since 2000 she has been carrying out research mainly in the field of food consumption, consumers’ behavior as well as consumer assessment of the quality of food products and quality management in the primary production. Now her research focused on consumer and producer attitudes and behavior for improvement of food quality and safety and on methods and systems for ensuring and managing the quality of plant raw materials and food products. She is an author of more than 160 science and popular science publications, expertise and other research and scientific studies.
The reviewer of scientific publications in national and international magazines and books. Organizer and co-organizer of scientific and industry conferences. She is a member of the Polish Society of Horticultural Sciences, Polish Society of Food Technologists, Polish Society of Commodity Science, International Society for Horticultural Science and New York Academy of Science, NCBiR expert in the scope of POIR project evaluation.
