Sina Ghertasi Oskouei

Biography

Dr. Oskouei earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors from Tabriz University of Medical Sciences (TUOMS) in 2007. With expertise in digital workflows, bioinformatics, and advanced laser applications in dentistry, he's currently affiliated with TUOMS' Section of Digital Dentistry, having served as its founding head (2022-2023). He completed an internationally recognized mastership in laser dentistry through the World Academy for Laser Education in Dentistry (AALZ) and Sigmund Freud University Vienna, further strengthening his innovation-driven approach. His commitment to continuing education is evidenced by his Fellowship in Bioinformatics from Kerman University of Medical Sciences (2022) and active memberships in the ITI, Digital Dentistry Society, and Iranian Academy of Periodontology.

Dr. Oskouei played a key role in establishing the university press office at TUOMS in 2011. He further demonstrated his commitment to academic publishing by serving as Director of Operations at TUOMS PRESS (2014-2022).

Dr. Oskouei's research interests span various areas in dentistry. He currently serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Advanced Periodontology & Implant Dentistry (JAPID), the official publication of the Iranian Academy of Periodontology. He previously held an associate editor position for the Journal of Dental Research, Dental Clinics, Dental Prospects (2007-2022).

Dr. Oskouei's primary interests focus on the intersection of digital workflows, health informatics, and artificial intelligence to drive innovation and enhance healthcare quality. He applies these cutting-edge technologies in his private dental practice in Tabriz, East Azerbaijan, Iran.
