Biography
Rynhardt Kruger obtained a B.Sc. in 2011, and M.Sc. in 2014 in Computer Science, and his Ph.D. in electronic engineering in 2022, at the University of Stellenbosch. His PhD dissertation focused on academic and technical document accessibility for blind readers. He is currently a software developer and researcher at the voice computing unit of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research in South Africa. His research interests include assistive technology, accessibility, voice computing, and human computer interaction. He is especially interested in universal design principals as applied to electronic media including the world wide web and related platforms, as well as emerging technologies such as virtual and augmented reality.
