Biography
Viviana Cocco Mariani holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution. Additionally, completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Padua (UNIPD) in Italy. Currently, she is a professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) and also teaches in the Graduate Program in Mechanical Engineering at UFPR. The main research interests lie in the field of energy, particularly renewable energy sources such as wind and solar power, among others. Moreover, she is deeply involved in data science, focusing on prediction, regression, and classification tasks using statistical models and machine learning techniques. Throughout her career, she has worked on optimization techniques to improve efficiency and accuracy in engineering-related projects.
