Biography

Valentin Bakoev was born in 1960 in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. He has studied MSc Informatics at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" in the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics and graduated from there in 1985. After that, he was a programmer in the Plant for memorizing devices V. Tarnovo for about six months. Thereafter, he started working at "St. Cyril and St. Methodius" University in V. Tarnovo, where he received a Ph.D. degree in Computer science. Now, he is an associated professor in Discrete mathematics and Computer science. His scientific interests and publications are in the area of Discrete mathematics, Programming, Algorithms and Data structures, Competitive programming, Teaching in these areas, etc.
