Biography

Full Professor at UFES and long-term CNPq scholarship holder in Research Productivity - PQ, level 1D (Effective: 03/01/2020 to 02/28/2024 - 48 months).

He holds a degree in Agronomy from the Federal University of Espírito Santo (1997) and a degree in Literature - Portuguese and English from the University of Franca (UNIFRAN) (2018). Specialization in Portuguese and English Language Teaching Methodology from the Candido Mendes University (UCAM) (2016), Master's Degree in Agricultural Meteorology from the Federal University of Viçosa (1999), PhD in Agricultural Engineering from the Federal University of Viçosa (2001) and Post-doctorate in Forestry Sciences from the Federal University of Viçosa (2016).

He is currently a Full Professor at the Federal University of Espírito Santo, working professionally in the Department of Rural Engineering (ERU-UFES) and the Postgraduate Program in Forestry Sciences at UFES (PPGCF-UFES) and the Postgraduate Program in Forestry Science at UFV (PPGCF-UFV) as a permanent professor of Masters and Doctorates.

He has experience in the areas of Geotechnologies, Agronomy, Geometeorology, Agrometeorology, Geotechnologies Applied to the Environment and Health, Methodology for Teaching Portuguese and English Language and Literature. He works mainly on the following topics: Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing, Meteorology, Climatology, Global Climate Change.

He has published 140 articles in national and international scientific journals, 31 books, 34 book chapters, 02 free software and 04 online systems / free atlas available on the PORTAL MUNDO DA GEOMATICA: http://www.mundogeomatica.com.

He is coordinator of the CNPq research group entitled GEOTECHNOLOGY APPLIED TO GLOBAL ENVIRONMENT (GAGEN), officially certified and authorized by CNPq, which aims to collaborate with the development and recognition of the ENVIRONMENTAL area OF BRAZIL and THE WORLD, with research directed towards the element(s) of the Earth system (ATMOSPHERE, LITHOSPHERE, HYDROSPHERE and BIOSPHERE).

He is also coordinator of the YouTube channel entitled MUNDO DA GEOMATICA where free video lessons and courses related to the universe of Geotechnology are available.
