Biography
Xianying Wang, is a research scientist in Guangzhou Marine Geological Survey from 2019. He has worked in many areas in geosciences including structural geology, applied geochemistry, marine geophysics as well as computational geodynamics. He was born in Hunan, China. After his college majoring in Computer Science, he spent four years in metal manufacturing and mining industry until 2009, then he left the industry and entered Central South University in Changsha as a graduate student. From then he is engaged in inter-disciplinary study of geosciences, combining structural geological surveying and geochemistry tracing and other techniques to study secondary migration of oil&gas and genesis of ore deposits. In 2016, he received a PhD on exploration geophysics, by completing his thesis using method of magnetotelluric sounding to solve problems in tectonics and exploration of mineral resources. He worked as a Post-doctoral fellow in University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing and works part-time for Ultimate Vision from 2017 to 2019. He is now integrating broad expertise in Geoscience and Computer Science, to provide an easy-to-use big-data technology framework for promoting development in science and engineering.
