Biography
Feng Qibo was born on 29 May 1962, in Hubei province, PR China. He received the BS degree and the MS degree from Hefei University of Technology, PR China, in 1983 and 1986, respectively, and the PhD degree in optical engineering from Tsinghua University, China, in 1993.He has served at the Beijing Jiaotong University, as associate professor and professor of School of Science since 1993. During 1998 to 1999, he was a visiting professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Currently, he is the dean of School of Science and a professor responsible to the disciple of optical engineering. He is a senior member of Chinese Society for Measurement, a member of National Standardization Technical Committee on Optical Measurement, a senior member of Opto-Electronic-Mechanical Technology & System Integration Chapter, China Instrument and Control Society. His research focuses on the optical measurement technology and non-destructive testing. He has published more than one hundreds papers, including 16 papers indexed by SCI and 37 papers indexed by EI, and published two books. He has received more than Thirty Chinese patents. In recent five years, he has presided over 20 research projects, including two national 863 projects, one key project and a project from National Natural Science Foundation of China, and he got second pride of Science and Technology Award from General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, China.
