Biography
My main research interest lies in the retrieval of land biophysical parameters and global estimation of carbon and water fluxes with remote sensing and machine learning. During my Ph.D., I produced optimized maps of vegetation photosynthesis for the Iberian Peninsula. Afterward, during my postdoc, among other activities, I also led the research to create a unique data set of global maps of vegetation traits and collaborated to produce the first operational photosynthesis maps at high spatial resolution for the US at the University of Montana/NTSG.
My expertise and knowledge acquired in developing and improving operational NASA products and the Google Earth Engine platform facilitate me to develop novel geospatial products and applications. Nowadays, working at the ISP (University of Valencia), I am exploiting my expertise in combination with advanced machine learning and causal inference techniques to undertake the challenge of improving and understanding ecosystem processes.
