Biography

Paul Kumar Upputuri, M.Sc., Ph.D. – Biomedical Optics Researcher

Dr. Paul Kumar Upputuri is a researcher in biomedical optics, with over a decade of experience developing innovative optical technologies for advanced medical diagnostics. His work focuses on creating cutting-edge solutions for the early detection of cancers, particularly in pancreatic and bile duct tissues.

Dr. Paul holds a Ph.D. in Physics (Optics) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, where he laid the foundation for his impactful contributions to optical science. Over the years, he has published extensively in internationally renowned journals, including Nature Communications, Science Advances, Nano Letters, ACS Nano, and Biomedical Optics Express. His research has earned thousands of citations globally, reflecting its significant influence in the field.

In addition to his publications, Dr. Paul is the author of the SPIE Spotlights eBook RGB Interferometry for Optical Metrology, a valuable resource for professionals in optics and metrology.
