Biography
My research focuses on the underlying mechanisms and rehabilitation of motor control and cognitive dysfunction following brain injury, with a particular focus on clinical trials in chronic pain, stroke, and neurodegenerative disease.
I have extensive experience in the development, implementation, and management of investigator-led clinical trials. I have multiple years experience in clinical RCTs, managing projects in Parkinson's, chronic pain, and Alzheimer's. These trials included both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions aimed at improving cortical plasticity and cognitive function.
I also have extensive experience in the implementation of neuropsychological assessment to determine cognitive impairment and in the use of novel, non-invasive brain stimulation/imaging techniques (i.e., tDCS, TMS, EEG, LAS).
