Biography

Praveen Shetty is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Humanities and Management at Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India. His PhD is in the field of intercultural communication and multiculturalism. He offers modules on communication across cultures to the undergraduate and Master students at Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal. He is a recipient of Jean Monnet Module Building Bridges: Indo European Intercultural Dynamics. He is also the coordinator for Centre for Intercultural Studies and Dialogue (CISD), MAHE. The Centre is working on a project ‘Discerning India: Living Cultures of Tulunadu’. Under this project, an Online Certificate Course on the significance and relevance of local knowledge systems is curated. The course familiarises the participants with the intersections of cultures and living ways in a unique way and provides a microcosmic experience of Indian diversity to participants.
