Biography
I studied Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technologies at the University of Trieste obtaining the Master Degree in 1995 (Laurea). I then worked for three years at the Reference Center for Oncology in Aviano and then I spent one year at the Centre de Biophysique Moleculaire in Orléans and then two years at the Institute Curie in Paris performing studies on developmental biology. In 2001 I moved to University of Siena, where I received my PhD in Molecular Medicine in 2006. Since November 2006 I have been an Assistant Professor at the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Siena. At present I am involved mainly in research, but I am also committed to teaching. My main interests are focused on the study of skeletal muscle cells differentiation, development and plasticity. Just recently I was founded by the 7FP (Marie Curie Auctions) with an IEF fellowship for career development aimed at studying the secretory pathway during skeletal muscle differentiation.
