Responsible from 1995 to 1999 of the program: "Coupled phenomena in electro conducting fluids" regrouping 4 Grenoble laboratories.

Responsible of a group of research in MHD regrouping 30 researchers since 1990 to 2001

French Representant at the EU programs COST P6 (about MHD) and COST P 17 (about Electro processing of Material) from 2000 to 2009

Director of the International Group of Research GAMAS (7 countries) 2007 to 2009.

Member of the editorial board of the international American review: Energy Conversion and management and Associate editor of the Latvia International Journal: Magneto hydrodynamics.

Initiator and Chairman of the international conference “pamir” organised eleven times form 1991 to 2019 and Organiser of 6 summer schools connected with MHD

Initiator of the concept of the Ampere project (collaboration between Franch and latvia).

Collaboration with Italy for the creation of the learned MHD society, involving many of the European European laboratories (2020)
