Biography

Luca Rinaldi received is MSc degree (with Hons.) in electronic engineering from the Polytechnic of Bari, Bari, Italy, in 2018, on the evaluation of photonic integrated components applied to RF-on board processing (Thales Alenia Space France, Toulouse). In 2022, he received his PhD on the mitigation of atmospheric turbulence effects on optical links by integrated photonics from the Paris-Saclay University, in collaboration with the French Aerospace Laboratory (ONERA) and the French Space Agency (CNES). He is currently a Senior Researcher with the CNIT – National Inter-University Consortium for Telecommunications, Photonic Networks and Technologies National Laboratory, Pisa, Italy. His research interests include the design and characterisation of integrated photonics circuits for space and defence applications.
