Biography

Professor: Najlaa Saad Oudah Al-Radadi

Najlaa Al-Radadi was born in Al-Madinah Al-Mnawarah, Saudi Arabia. She received her B.S in Chemistry from Taibah University in 1997. Later she got her M.Sc. in Inorganic Chemistry in 2003 from the University of King Abdul-Aziz. She later worked at Taibah University as a Lecturer from 2003 to 2009. She did her Ph.D. degree in Inorganic Chemistry in 2009 from the University of King Abdul-Aziz and later joined Taibah University as an Assistant Professor in 2009 until 2019, at Department of Inorganic chemistry. She did his postdoctoral research from 2010 to 2013 in the King Fahd Medical Research Center (KFMRC), Jeddah and the King Abdul-Aziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), Riyadh. She later worked at Taibah University as an Associate Professor of Nanotechnology and Inorganic Chemistry in 2019 until 2022. In 2022 she was appointed a full Professor in Nanotechnology and Inorganic Chemistry until present at Taibah University. Prof. Najlaa is a member of several editorial boards and professional societies. She is the recipient of several awards and honors such as:
Patents
1.She has got a patent for "Novel bioactive complexes of palladium and platinum derived from some macrocyclic ligands and their impact on gentoxcity" in (21/2/2016) from Saudi Patent Office at (KACST) number (4673).
2.She got her 2nd patent for "Green Synthesis of Platinum Nanoparticles Using Saudi’s Dates Extract and their Usage on The Cancer Cell Treatment" in (15/6/2017) from Saudi Patent Office at (KACST) number (5422).
3.She has got her 3rd patent for "Microwave Assisted Green Synthesis of Fe@Au core- shell Magnetic Nanoparticles to Enhance Olive oil Efficiency on Eradication of Helicobacter Pylori" in (24/12/2020) from Saudi Patent Office at (SAIPKSA) number (7403).
Awards
1. Obtained the Innovation and Excellence Award from the World of Knowledge Exchange Authority at the Leadership, Innovation and Excellence Conference held in Dubai on 13 November 2017.
2. Obtained the Excellence and creativity Award in medicine and science from Sayidaty journal, in Saudi Ariba on 27 January 2019.
3. Obtained the Medal of Honor and Scientific Excellence at the 4th International Conference on Quality and Evidence Based in Prophetic Medicine in Abu-Dhabi on 22-24 February 2020.
4. Obtained the Best presentation Award at the 4th symposium on analytical chemistry for sustainable development in Morocco on 9-11 March 2021.
5. I was honored by the Prince of Madinah, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, as one of the inspiring personalities on International Women’s Day March 2021
6. I am been honored by the Saudi Embassy in Washington, where the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United States of America HRH Rima bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz as an initiative to shed highlights on Saudi women pioneers.
Prof. Najlaa has been honored by the Saudi Embassy in Washington, D.C, where it launched the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United States of America Her Royal Highness Rima bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz is an initiative to shed highlighting Saudi women pioneers. The project is entitled as "Saudi Women in the Spotlight", and the Saudi Embassy publishes videos that tell a unique story of women who contribute to the development of their country in various ways. She was one of the Saudi pioneers for whom a video was published highlighting her role as a Saudi inventor and holder of many patents and many international awards and honors in the field of green synthesis of nanoparticles and their therapeutic applications.
