Biography
Li Qiang, Ph.D., is based at the Beijing Institute of Radiation Medicine (China) specializing in Pathology and Pathophysiology. He was mentored by Researcher Xiao Xiaohe for his master's and Academician Wu Zuze for his doctorate. His primary research interests include the immunopharmacology and toxicology of traditional Chinese medicine, stem cells and regenerative medicine, and inflammatory liver disease. He serves on the editorial boards of Innovation, Traditional Medicine Research, and Future Integrative Medicine, and reviews for the journals iScience and Future Integrative Medicine.
He has participated in several significant projects including one Innovation Team and Talents Cultivation Program of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, one Beijing Natural Science Foundation Youth Project, one Basic Strengthening Plan Project (Major Basic Research), and four Student Research Training (SRT) Programs. As the first author (including co-first author), he has published five SCI papers with an impact factor greater than 5 in internationally renowned journals such as EMBO Reports (cited 43 times from February 2022 to May 2024) and Phytotherapy Research (including one paper under review). He has also authored two Chinese Core (CSCD) papers and contributed to one medical monograph. Additionally, he has been granted and has applied for six national patents.
