Biography

I am formally trained as a medical laboratory scientist (Bsc) and Mycobacteriologist (Msc) and Microbiology (PhD ongoing). I have years of experience in infectious disease research (especially TB). My research focus includes TB diagnostics, TB drugs and vaccines, to understand the protective host response to Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M.tb), especially as compromised by HIV and immunology discovery studies in HIV/TB infected human participants. I am passionate about the global dynamics on impact of TB and TB/HIV, and now how SARs-CoV-2 is impacting TB disease and diagnosis.
