Biography
Nomiki Karpathiou is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech & Language Therapy at the University of the Peloponnese. She holds a doctoral degree in Rehabilitation Sciences from the Cyprus University of Technology. She qualified as a speech and language therapist at City University in London, UK. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens. She worked as a research assistant in the Department of Psychology at the University of Bergen in Norway. Her clinical work and research primarily focus on aphasia in degenerative diseases and cognitive rehabilitation. She has a long-standing collaboration with the Athens Alzheimer’s Association and the Dementia Day Care Center for people with dementia in Pagrati, Athens.
