Biography
Luis M. Romero-Rodríguez, Ph.D., is a Professor of Strategic Communication and Public Relations and Researcher at the Health Communication Lab in the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the Rey Juan Carlos University (Madrid, Spain). He founded and directed the Master's Degree (M.A.) in Health Communication. Romero-Rodríguez has published more than 100 articles in refereed journals, such as Humanities & Social Sciences Communications, Journal of Management Development, Corporate Communications, Media and Communications, Management Decision, Corporate Governance, Journal for Cultural Research, Media History, Journalism Practice, and as book chapters. He is also the author/editor of two handbooks on PR and Corporate Communications: "Introduction to PR" and "Corporate Communication Management". Romero-Rodríguez's contribution to the field has been widely recognized through over 10 research/teaching awards and recognitions from national and international associations and conferences. Romero-Rodríguez has a Ph.D. in Communication Studies, an MSc. in Communication Studies, an MSc. in International Laws and Politics, a BSc. in Journalism, and an LL.B in International Laws. Romero-Rodríguez was Assistant Editor of Comunicar Journal (2015-2023) and Editor-in-Chief of Retos Journal (2016-2020). Currently, he is an Associated Researcher of the Agora Group (PAI-HUM-648) of the University of Huelva, a researcher of the Euroamerican Interuniversity Research Network on Media Literacy for Citizenship (Alfamed), and an Associate Editor of Anàlisi Journal (2018-2023). His research focuses on corporate communication, health communication, Public Relations, and Corporate Responsibility.
