Biography
PhD and MSc in Remote Sensing from The National Institute for Space Research (INPE), Brazil; and B.S. in Geography from The Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Brazil. In the past seven years, I have been working as a researcher in remote sensing focused on SAR applied to the classification land use and land cover and to the monitoring of changes in forest cover, mainly degradation by fire and selective logging. My research interests include the use of multisource remote sensing data for different applications, such as land use and land cover mapping, detection of forest deforestation, mapping of forest degradation by fire and selective logging and surveying of terrestrial carbon stocks.
